Workshops & Weekend RetreatsWounded Healer - Millenium Vision Quest. This weekend retreat looks at the role and processes of a wounded healer and how that is similar to a Vision Quest in the skills and insights that have been discovered. Objectives include: 1) validate altered states as survival/spiritual states; 2) honor/respect role as wounded healer; 3) understand own healing journey also heals Mother Earth and other beings; 4) learn how to separate own woundedness while working with others. Topics include: Role of Wounded Healer, Forgiveness of Our Shadow, Listening to Intuition/Guidance, Psychic Protection and Spiritual Rituals.Shamanic Healing Techniques. This weekend retreat teaches shamanic healing techniques with other modalities. Objectives include: 1) examine ethics of shamanic techniques with other healing modalities; 2) understand how shamanic practices can be incorporated in any spiritual belief system; 3) understand how ancient techniques compliment modern day healing practices. Topics include: Dis-Ease, Loss of Soul, Loss of Power, Energy/Entity Attachments, Envidia, Ethical Issues. Transfiguration: Alchemy for Self and Mother Earth. This weekend retreat is based on Sandra Ingerman's Medicine for the Earth and training. Objectives include: 1) using altered states to transfigure our energetic field; 2) understand how changing self affects everything else; 3) using community energy for extending healing power. Topics include: Transfiguration, Concepts for Transfiguration…intention, focus, concentration, imagination, love, harmony, and union create a space to become one with Spirit. Shamanism in the Millenium. This weekend retreat teaches advanced shamanic skills such as shapeshifting, Sacred Fire Ceremony, listening to the Nature Spirits. Objectives include: 1) learning about Nature Spirits; 2) learning how to do a Sacred Fire Ceremony; 3) learning how to shapeshift. Topics include: Four Elements, Siberian Shamanic Rituals, the Void. Healing the Heart. This weekend retreat focuses on using shamanic techniques to heal the heart and balancing the chakras. Objectives include: 1) introduction to Cycles of Truth; 2) Creation of Totem Pole for Chakra system; 3) use of sound to reenergize the chakra centers. Topics include: Seneca 12 Cycles of Truth, Chakra system, Balancing the Chakra System. Making a Drum/Rattle. The weekend workshop uses techniques taught by Dawn Kenny of Virginia and allows the participants to finish a drum and rattle through the Cherokee tradition. The 13" drum is made of rawhide as are the rattles. Journeying is done to honor the Beings that gave up their life for the instruments and to awaken the instruments. |
